Re: PIANOTEQ VIDEO CONTEST 2018 - ENTRIES

At first, some information/introduction about the video/music, ”A special moment”, that I feel may be of interest to you.
I hope that you can find some flow (an enjoyable experience) in my playing. The music is changing and fresh and that’s what hopefully grab your attention. It was my intention to compose something beautiful. So I just improvised my own arrangement as I played. At 0,53 and 1,22 the chords go really different. And it’s possible just those some magic chords that brings this ”A special moment” to life, with this fabulous, a bit modified Steingraeber Warm, a gorgeous instrument.
The videobackgrounds can evoke a certain feeling, but if they are too distracting, just close your eyes, maybe you can find yourself in the music, and feel a ”A special moment”.
Thank you for taking the time to read my introduction. I hope that you will enjoy my music, like I enjoyed making it.
And best of luck to all contestants!

My Chopin cover was done too early so I'll take this crazy Kpop cover instead. I think it has a good mix of delicate parts, powerful bass, and some virtuosity or technique. Done on Steinway D Classical Recording BA (in my opinion has the most powerful bass and great reverb plus overall sound). Enjoy the audio and visuals, I put so much love into editing this!

Re: PIANOTEQ VIDEO CONTEST 2018 - ENTRIES

I don’t usually post +/- comments during these annual competitions - it is kind of like calling a baseball game in the 4th inning just because one team is ahead or behind.

This is a +/- valuation on my part.  Suffice to say I listened and watched the entire work. Incredible.

Re: PIANOTEQ VIDEO CONTEST 2018 - ENTRIES

Hi, I made a dark Hip-Hop Trap Beat with some "live" playing for the contest. The Live Playing uses the new Petrov.

I started making Hip-Hop and other type Beats some month ago as a method to analyze the favourit music of my pupils. Sometimes I mix it with classical Themes to show them, that classical music is timeless and can still sound modern. In this case I took some Parts from Rachmaninovs Piano Concert No. 2. I hope you enjoy it.

(Sorry for the Filmquality, Its filmed with my Handy, I hope its in sync with the sound. Use Headphones for the quit piano parts and the low end of the subbass)

Here is my play with Pianoteq 6.3.0 Trial version.
I used presets named with Ant. Petrof Prelude & H. Ruckers II Harpsichord Recording.

Although this is Trial version, it was fun to express Bach with Pianoteq.
If you listen carefully with headphones on the end of the video, you can hear the mechanical sound of the harpsichord:)

Dear Pianoteq Friends,
My new video with Passacaglia, composed by Bear McCreary in my humble interpretation.
Excuse me from the visual side, but I'm just a pianist and I focused more on music. Pianoteq is, in my opinion, the best program reflecting the character of a real instrument. If You enjoy listening of my interpretation I'll be very pleased.

W.A. Mozart Piano Concerto N°23 - Adagio in A Major, K. 488 - Pianoteq Pro - Tomplay

A few weeks ago I saw a movie documentation about Clara Haskil "The Performer's Enigma". I heard the wonderful theme of this piano concerto and I knew immediately, that I wanted to try to play this piano concerto. Fortunately, I found the piano notation and the orchestra accompaniment in Tomplay (Tombooks).
I used the beautiful Blüthner of Pianoteq and customized it to my taste.

I hope you like it! Thank you!

Hello I'm a 23 year old hobby pianist and would like to share what i practiced over more than 6 months. This piece was so freaking hard to record without mistakes and it took me over a week alone to record it. It is nothing classical so i hope you still enjoy it. I used the Blüthner model one AB preset for this.

Original song: Beatmania XDII - Redzone.

Hello everyone! Here is my entry. It's an improvisation called "allegro", and is rendered in Pianoteq6 with the Steinway B model, using a preset that I modified. The B is my go-to piano because it is so expressive and versatile. For visuals, I used time lapse movies I made in beautiful Saint-Germain de Kamouraska (Québec), by the majestic St-Laurent.
Enjoy!

Hi! I'm a fairly new user of PianoTeq 6, which I use in concert with my new acoustic Mason & Hamlin BB semi-concert grand piano w/ WNG action.  I purchased PianoTeq earlier this year to supplement the sound capability of my piano's installed QuietTime ProRecord MIDI Optical Sensing System for night-time practicing in a house with two small children. I recently upgraded to PianoTeq Standard 6.3 and have purchased a total of five instrument packs, in addition to the two standard instruments.  PianoTeq offers unmatched playability for classical pianists and each of the PianoTeq modeled instrument packs provide the realism of their brand's unique sound signatures.  I decided to produce a YouTube video featuring a comparison of each of these seven PianoTeq virtual instruments rendering a recent MIDI performance I made of Gluck-Sgambati's very delicate and beautiful Melody in Dm (from "Orfeo ed Euridice") - Jason Solomonides, pianist.

Here's my humble entry using  Blüthner Model 1 Studio Recording BA preset. It is the cover of a part of "All at once by Whitney Houston". My playing is very novice. I really enjoy playing the piano using Pianoteq. It is very responsive compared to my other virtual sampled pianos. I have 4 models of the piano instruments and I am looking forward to get next the Steingraeber E-272 Grand Piano and Electric Pianos.

-Pianoteq Video Contest 2018-

Hello, piano lovers. This is Keunyoung Song from South Korea.(I live in Czech now.)

Just re-arranged one of the legendary modern pop songs Ed Sheeran's "Shape of you".

But this time, I changed all the minor chords to major chords. Result? It became a romantic song

About the setting, I used the preset "Ant. Petrof Warm" and I didn't manuever any knobs from the origianl preset.

Hope you like it. Enjoy!

Re: PIANOTEQ VIDEO CONTEST 2018 - ENTRIES

Hi folks,

In this video I decided to make a comparison of the piano not to choose just one midi file with different pianos, but to choose one piano (Petrof model) with different types of music, styles and characteristics.

I shared the same idea with one of the members here (Beto-Music). A really good piano should sound nice with any kind of music styles, classical, jazz, pop..... and feeling I am not alone in this idea, I made this video for comparison.

What does really make a great piano?

I believe that when you have a good instrument, it should sound the best as possible, regardless of the taste. Of course, some prefer brighter and other darker ones, however, any choice of your taste the sound should be great.

For this reason, I decided to make that comparison.

Let's take this little journey and see what you think.

Thank you for watching and best regards.

Re: PIANOTEQ VIDEO CONTEST 2018 - ENTRIES

This is a freely improvised, more-or-less tonal piece that moves through a series of harmonically restless modulations and a steady, gentle tempo to evoke a mood of nostalgia and longing. However, as the music progresses, you'll hear this mood of nostalgia gradually take a much more tragic form, as the piano slowly dies beneath my fingers.

Title: On sweet nostalgia's dying breath, a strange and mournful sound condensed.
Instrument: Pianoteq Steingräber Recording 2
DAW: Logic Pro X

Performed, edited and realised by Tablabroke.

Hi!

This my entry for this year's contest. It is a cover of the track "Tierce Personne" composed by Guillaume Ferran for the short film "La Science de l'Amour" released this month by the french video maker Cyprien. I used 3 different instances of Pianoteq 6 (Blüthner) with no external effect. It required a bit of sound design to recreate the cinematic sound of Guillaume Ferran's music.

I hope you will enjoy it!

Re: PIANOTEQ VIDEO CONTEST 2018 - ENTRIES

Hello everyone

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=helu-VtKDWE

It's a piano/vocal version of one song, "Heroes Arise", of my band "Unknown Hunter". Usually we play metal, but for this contest we covered ourselves on a Pianoteq Bluethner.

Played on a barely modified Bluethner Recording AB Preset on my very first Yamaha epiano.

I hope you like listening to the song as much as we enjoyed recording it!

Best regards,
Oliver
