Topic: Loud piercing and ringing sound from the upper registers

I finally got everything I need to play Pianoteq with Roland FP-30, JBL LSR305 speakers, and Focusrite 2i2 audio interface.  I started to play with it last night, and I noticed that anytime I started to use the upper register notes.  It would make a loud piercing, ringing sound from my speakers. I did make a mistake in purchasing 1/4" TS cable instead of the TRS one for my speakers to my audio interface.  Would that cause a problem since the TS cable is unbalanced while the TRS cable is balanced? I did order the right cable, and it supposed to arrive today.

Can someone tell me how to configure the software, so it will not do this anymore?

Are you able to play any other audio through your setup withOUT the loud piercing ringing that you described?
