Topic: Request: M-Audio Keystation 88es

I would be very grateful if someone could provide a velocity curve for this keyboard. Or alternatively if someone could provide the timings of how fast (in milliseconds) you should take to press a key to get a certain loudness levels on a real piano, so I can create my own.

Thanks!

Re: Request: M-Audio Keystation 88es

I have this keyboard, but i'm not very experienced with piano playing (yet) to create a good velocity curve.

When i was using this as my main keyboard, i always used the "moderately fast keyboard" preset, sounded good enough for me.

One problem this keyboard has is that the black keys send much higher velocities than the white keys. I fixed this on mine by shimming the rear key sensors with a layer of duct tape

Thanks delt!

I have an 88es which is being used to work things out, and setting the velocity to something listenable was a real puzzler.  "Moderately Fast" works great for me! The help is appreciated.
