Topic: Preferences... greyed out
I don't know what settings might exist in the preferences section. Perhaps there aren't any and so it is greyed out.

You mean the preference entry on the macos menu for the standalone ? Yes, it is not used at all since the prefs right now are in the "midi settings" and "audio settings" entries, so just ignore it !
