Topic: Ran across this link to a 19th century piano construction book

This was linked from the PianoWorld forum:

http://www.amis.org/publications/other/.../index.php

They charge $25 for the reproduction. Written as a pricing guide for craftsman, it apparently details each step in constructing a piano around 1835, well before the age of CAD.

In any event, the American Musical Instrument Society seems to be worth knowing about, if just for their resources page at http://www.amis.org/resources/index.html .

(I'm not associated with the society or the book...)
