Topic: Bass drum and cowbell

Despite the ability of PianoTeq to create lovely pianos, I posted two presets exploring what can be done to create percussion instruments using the bells. (You must install the Bells add-on after downloading it from the Users area).

Only the notes indicated in the name of each file sound remotely decent. In other words, only the low G note creates a bass drum, just as a Rompler would have one key assigned to a bass drum. Please ignore the other notes. (With the pro version, assuming the bells still function, we can have different keys attached to different sounds, but for now, I've created different presets for the two different instruments.) EDIT: I accidentally left the Freeze all Parameters on before posting the Bass fxp. Sorry. You'll want to unfreeze things so that if you change to another preset, you don't retain the bass drum settings. Apparently we can't delete our own presets any more in the Files area?)

The Sound Speed parameter creates nice variations on the one note drum sound.  (I earlier uploaded one without "Louder" in the name. The "Louder" version is better and...louder..., with a wider range of timbres with velocity variations.)

Problems: If the note is held too long, the decay is unnatural. But you can't sustain a bass drum note, so that shouldn't be a problem. On the other hand, either holding the note a little or extending the length of the decay in Action\Damping duration may give a better decay. One other problem is panning--because the note is the low G, it's panned to the left. The bass drum would usually be panned to the center for rock\pop. Feature request? Need to be able to set the position of notes? Not usually needed for a piano, but for percussion, it would be good.

Suggestions and revisions, pleeze.
