Topic: Thunderous piano example...

I heard these two tracks this morning on Alabama Public Radio:
Malaguena and San Francisco el Grande
Composer: Ernesto Lecuona
Instrument: Piano, Ernesto Lecuona
Track Label: BMG
Catalog Number: 09026-68671-2
I believe they are from the "Ultimate Collection" two CD set.
I wasn't very familiar with Lecuona even though the music was very familiar.  But the piano sound...!  He really bangs, and that piano sound really had that thunder that I wish I could get out of a virtual piano when I want it...  I'm sure there are millions of other soundboard cracking piano examples out there... this one just really rang out to me.  I wouldn't mind a small sample set made from that piano sound that Pianoteq could cross-over to at extreme velocities -at least for experimentation.  Hmmmmmmm... might be enough single notes in there............

"Downing a fifth results in diminished capacity."

Re: Thunderous piano example...

One little fail from Pianoteq is about thunder strikes get a quite weak sound in the trebble range, especially if you srike a single key alone.
Strange is the fact that 3 keys together, chord, get a almost fine thunder strike, but single keys get too weak. Like a the stike was FFF but the resultant sound was just F.

I hope the new version fix that.
