Topic: Feature request: Velocity plugin

I love pianoteq! The velocity adjuster thing is a great touch--I would be interested in a standalone VST .dll of the velocity adjuster, for use with other VSTs that don't have this functionality.

Re: Feature request: Velocity plugin

You might try PianoTuner, which was brought to the this forum's attention by Fytrius. It can be used for tuning, as the name suggests, but its main function is to let you set the velocity response of each key on the keyboard.

However, it has no ability to set the Dynamics response: you can't raise the amplitude of low velocity strikes. To do this, you would instead use the Dynamics control in PianoTeq, which controls the velocity to amplitude ratio for all of the notes. This control is missing in most other VSTI's, which is a shame. It's an old parameter in hardware samplers and the better software samplers, but most VSTI's don't have it.
