Topic: Question @ Pianoteq
I assume that the material of the soundboard also has its effect on the overall sound of the piano? Or for that matter material and thickness of the cabinet or 'housing' (how do you call the outside of the piano itself actually?)
Don't these values define the actual 'color' of the sound?
I hardly think that material or thickness will be the same for all pianos. Wouldn't parameters for those properties help in 'shaping' the sound of the piano as well?
Or are those parameters 'under the hood' already?
You state in the manual that knowing more about the technique behind the piano will help in getting better sounds from Pianoteq and I do believe that.
Are there any (web) references you could give, that could provide more information on that subject? (but hopefully on not too high a technical level)
Thanks in advance
Hans
