Topic: Uploaded C3 Darker preset

Not a barroom sound this time, although this preset uses the same principles as the Old Dark Bar preset, but with the C3 as the point of departure and much less unison detuning in the upper treble. (Try playing around with the Sound Speed parameter for this preset. It has a huge effect when the lid is lowered this much. A step or two completely changes the sound.) MY DAMPER PEDAL is on CC4. You may need to change it to CC64.

If the sound in the middle octaves is a little too furry at low velocities, you may need to adjust your controller's vel curve. Also try lowering the Unison Detuning in the midrange. (Somehow, the sound is a little thicker when I play it than when I listen to Piet's midi using it.)

--High unison detuning in the midrange and bass
--EQ to lower the amplitude of mid and upper mid freqs
--Lid low, but not shut
--Mics low and near the front of the piano, a little ahead of the hammers

Again, abusing Piet's 2nd improv for the audio demo. The bass gets LOUD. (Too brittle on one note at about .46, but I've left the midi file as it was, since at other times the bass comes through well. Just a really hard strike on that note.)
