Topic: I am searching for this type of sound

Hello there fellow pianoteq lovers, I listened to this kind of una corda kontakt library and I wonder, as I have tried in the past to make a Una Corda piano in the way Nils Frahm has created his own personal library for kontakt.

I prefer Olafur sound though.

Any ideas and with what piano should I experiment more to reach this kind of sound.

Thank you in advance.

Re: I am searching for this type of sound

Could start with U4, then tweak these parameters:

* Soft pedal to a very high value (something like 0.75 and above)
* Hammer noise increase around 1.60 or more, adjust to taste
* Reduce hammer hardness for piano, mezzo and forte
* Increase Sympathetic resonance to around 2.00 or to taste
* Condition slider to second notch or thereabouts (0.66)
* Put a nice long and dense reverb on the sound (for example, Large hall preset with Duration increased to 3 seconds, Room size at max, Mix reduced to 0 dB or so)

Hard work and guts!

That's the path i hope pianoteq to take in the future (more character and moody pianos). And a feature i would really really love for them to add is the possibility to prepare the piano with different fabrics..

You can do your own preparations with per-key tweaking in Pianoteq Pro... editing harmonics and Energy sliders and hammer hardness per key yields interesting results.

Hard work and guts!

Unfortunately I have the Standard Version.

No worries! You can do everything I mentioned in the Standard version.
