Topic: String Accompaniment

Hello everyone,

I'm wondering if there's a way to have a string accompaniment while playing within Pianoteq.

What I'm looking for is similar to how it works/sounds with the piece linked below.  He's not using pianoteq, but rather a system built-in to his keyboard.
LOTR Suite

Thanks very much, and Happy New Year!

David

Re: String Accompaniment

You could use PTQ in VST mode (into any DAW of your choice) and add another VSTi on the same MIDI channel.

Re: String Accompaniment

I didn't realize that was possible.  Thanks.  Do you have a recommendation for the type of VSTi I'd be looking for?

Thanks!

Re: String Accompaniment

There are so many of them... and a lot of freeware that isn't bad at all.
Have a look at Soundfont players like "Plogue" or any other
https://www.plogue.com/products/sforzando/
Then go on and download one of the many, many SFZ libraries available, for free as well. Example:
