Topic: A short piece using various presets of Pianoteq Harp

The same file (a little Berceuse made in Reaper) using six presets of Pianoteq Harp.

These rapid tests have allowed me to make a few interesting observations on this VSTi.
- Only the preset "Harp a la piano" (which I used in the song "Déjà") behaves like a normal piano and responds to Piano usual MIDI commands and programming: Sustain pedal, variable duration of notes. For all other purely "harpistic" presets, behavior is different : as it is a plucked string instrument, a brief attack of each note is sufficient, no need to leave your finger pressed on the keyboard to resonate. Only the velocity is significant. So in the piano roll the same brief lenght can be assigned to every note, making display more readable and easier editing.
But when you release the key, the note does not end like in a piano. A harp has no others dampers than harpist's hands. As we cannot put our hands on strings in a VSTi, Pianoteq has reversed the action of the sustain pedal for these presets : pressing the pedal stops resonance.
This can be a little confusing if you are not aware...
