Topic: Midi Question (beginner)

Hello,

I am very impressed by the sound and the flexibility of pianoteq.

I use a Yamaha Clavinova CVP 96.
I want to replace the inbuilt piano sounds and use pianoteq instead.
This piano has an accompaniement section and a metronome. These sounds should not be replaced.

What would be the best way to do this?

My idea is to switch the piano MIDI-local mode off, send the midi events to the PC that runs pianoteq, and send all unhandled MIDI-events back into the piano?

Is it possible to do this?
Maybe there is a MIDI router or -filter required for this, or can pianoteq do this?

Thanks in advance,

Peter

Re: Midi Question (beginner)

Ok, finally I found that the yamaha can be configured to process the left hand part locally and quietly send out the right hand part via MIDI, so the problem seems to be solved.

Now I must get a laptop and order ptq ;-)
