Glad you liked it,

Hey

Re: Pianoteq video contest - entry announcements

Hi

Just put an entry online, an improvisation using the Blüthner and Rhody 2 with bass and drums accompaniment.
First time I ever tried to video a recording whatsoever.... felt strange :-)

Hello Pianoteq - this is for the competition.

Thanks,

Re: Pianoteq video contest - entry announcements

Hi there,

I recently demoed Pianoteq for the first time and I was deeply impressed. Now I read about this contest and made a little something.

The entries I have seen here so far are all great - you guys are amazing. I'm by no means a pianist, so I can't show a video of me playing live. Instead I chose to put together the two things I love - cats and music

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pDJPOFKJJho&hd=1 (watch in 1080p if possible)

I know I can't compete in terms of musical/compositional quality. I had a lot of fun making this tune and compiling the video, though. I hope you still like it.

Regards,
Andre

To ALL: Great job and Good Luck! This is video for Pianoteq Video Contest.

As I don't have a camera, there is only screen capture. This piece is composed by Lubos Fiser and English translation is "Dreams and Waltzes". Luboš Fišer (1935 -- 1999) was a Czech composer, born in Prague.  Is it Modern classical music and I think this piece is not for everybody, but I like it so much :-)

I used modified D4 Classical Recording BA

Re: Pianoteq video contest - entry announcements

Hello.  Here is a bit of improvisation with your great D4.  I have an album of recorded improvs for sale at iTunes, and will consider using this software for my next release.  It's just awesome to play.
Thank You!

Many thanks for all the entries so far!

Just a kind reminder that this Sunday is the last day for participating.

If you have any questions regarding the contest, or need any assistance, do not hesitate asking here.

Re: Pianoteq video contest - entry announcements

OK then, here is mine... Why not
Un peu de chanson française?! :-)
It's a duo with my own daughter called... "Dad and Me " !
It was absolutely not intended to enter in this competition, but it's a testimony that you really CAN use PT ("D4 player" slightly modified) "live"!
Some people asked me what model of Casio piano it was, given the great sound... :-) Well, this is the problem of Pianoteq: you can hear it, but not often see it! In this case, my laptop was lying on the floor, on my left side, so you can't see it! Not sure this will be a good argument for the competition either !!!

Hey Luc, the song is beautiful and it is great you perform with your also beautiful daughter but I think you can do two easy things just for the sake of the competition:

1) Just edit the video and at least show an image of pianoteq while you play. If you use Windows you have Moviemaker installed, if you use Mac you have iMovie. Both are very easy to use.

2) If I understood right, the number of likes and views is important. You disabled the liking function in Youtube when you uploaded the video.

Good luck !

Re: Pianoteq video contest - entry announcements

Thank you, but as I wrote, I did this video before the competition began and I didn't intend to "show" Pianoteq, so... well, it's heard and not seen ! I don't really try to win this competition either, I just thought it was an opportunity to show Pianoteq in action, "live"   ;-)

And for the "like" function... well, I'll have to ask to my daughter !!! :-)

Re: Pianoteq video contest - entry announcements

Nice video Luc

Your daughter sings well.

Re: Pianoteq video contest - entry announcements

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yClnfiV...e=youtu.be

My first attempt at creating a video!  I will try to submit another one that is "sequenced" as opposed to played "live". I just played what came to mind.  Pianoteq 4 D4 model with some Valhalla Room reverb added. I'm obviously not a piano player...my wife teaches piano and she makes sure her students don't witness any of my "unique" playing techniques.

Re: Pianoteq video contest - entry announcements

Make no excuses, Studiocat,

Sounds very nice and let me complement you on the audio setup . .  having played that on the big Kurzweil with Pianoteq should get lots of attention.

Kudos,

Lanny

Re: Pianoteq video contest - entry announcements

Hi again... here is my second attempt at posting. The video is slightly more in sync with audio, but for some reason I can't get it to line up exactly. Hope you enjoy!

Hi everyone... manage to come up with a second entry;
Hope everyone enjoy

Exploring other musical possibilities, Pianoteq tweaked "presets".
Eigenharp Alpha with 4 AU slots, each with a predefined scale, octave, loop recording.
Painting colors.

Background to Pianoteq is Eigenlabs - Workbench  (lots and lots of virtual "wires")

Re: Pianoteq video contest - entry announcements

Hi,

My video for the contest is a personal recording of  the beginning of Schubert Impromptu op.90 n°3 with Numa  Nero keyboard and Pianoteq 4 Stage. It's not perfect, with many imperfections of "touché"  but Pianoteq is a great to tool to work and see all these imperfections.

http://youtu.be/3yaaiGmk3qw

Here is a second entry from me. I used a lot of non-piano sounds from Pianoteq 4 and add-ons. I sequenced this one, so I used Pianoteq screenshots for the video portion. I had a version with Addictive Drums that I liked but decided to go with just Pianoteq sounds exclusively. I'm liking the wide range of entries here...all cool stuff!   -Perry-

Re: Pianoteq video contest - entry announcements

Hey hey... Very natural sound you did Matt

What was the setup you used, what pianoteq model...  ,how do you recorded the sound, only direct from software or a mix of the software and mics?

Niclas could extend the final day for the competition, cause it's getting better and better.

Nice idea... its like a bionic replacement of the strings. You turned your grand into a 4th generation piano. (Were you looking at the sea from that window?)

Nice  Santa's...

This makes thing that pianoteq needs a drums add on.
Why not?   After steel pans add-on, a drums add on.

I'm using Pianoteq Stage 4.2.0 with Logic Pro 9. The Mic is a SE Electronics Z5600a II in a cradle and boom. I just added a little reverb to the voice in the Logic channel.  My keyboard (Studiologic SL-880) is a bit old and tired now so I've adjusted the Pianoteq velocity curve to help improve the response (a very useful feature of Pianoteq). Thanks.

About half as much as replacing the piano with a reasonable quality, second hand grand (Yamaha/Kawai) plus the benefit of having several good pianos and a Rhodes in one box. Or put another way, about 1000 for the PC, 175 each for the touch screen monitors, 1600 for the piano plus I bought Cubase Elements, Garritan Jazz and Big Band / Personal Orchestra (all currencies GBP). It will cost around 1500 to have the existing case modified and some funky new legs (which will also support the keyboards.

Yes we are lucky, we look right out - great place for making music and composing

Re: Pianoteq video contest - entry announcements

Hi,
My entry contains presentation of sounds and main features of Pianoteq 4.
I used Pianoteq Trial 4.2.0 and Kurzweil piano as a MIDI controller.
No additional audio effects were used.
