Topic: Posted a new fxp and mp3 named Rock or Not

I just posted an fxp and an mp3 named Rock or Not in the Files area. The settings for the partials were obviously suggested by VinegarVic's settings for his nice, nice C2Concert_VL fxp, but I used the M1 Jazz preset and made some other changes. Many thanks for your experiments with the partials.

The mp3 was done fast, and that shows--trying to show the dynamic contrasts possible with the fxp, my playing gets a little muddy at times, but the brain is muddy right now.

It has a little bit of a Yamaha C7 sound without being as crisp as some "Rock pianos" on romplers. Might be used for some gospel, too. Notice that the reverb is on, so the sound can be made a little more intimate by turning it off or reducing the size of the room or the length of the decays. My intent was to use the reverb as a cabinet resonance, but it still backs the sound off a little.

Sounds good with the DrJohn midi file that Creart posted, too.

The mp3 was recorded in Cantabile Lite using a Tascam US-144 USB unit, and playing an Ensoniq KS-32 with the Touch set to Piano Vel6.
