Topic: Blues_Upright.fxp

I've been fooling around with settings trying to create a nice upright sound for old blues music. I was quite pleased with the result so I've uploaded it to the files page.

Feel free to criticise or change the settings!

This was the kind of sound I was trying to get, I didn't get that close but I quite liked the result anyway!

Your demo sounds great!  I'll have to try the fxp later.

Hey BazC, it sounds great....

I found a DrJohn midi file that pretty much has the same atmosphere as the Sampletekk demo and tried getting it close in sound... that resulted in the fxp that I uploaded, not completely there yet though...

I haven't uploaded an mp3 file yet with how it sounds with me but you can ofcourse play the midi file in Pianoteq

cheers

Re: Blues_Upright.fxp

Thanks folks! Cheers for that fxp Hans, nice! It has a lot more bite than mine which is maybe a bit too warm. I might try and get a sound somewhere between the two.

I'm hoping they'll release one or two properly modelled uprights in the future like they have with the historic grands etc!

Re: Blues_Upright.fxp

Ya mine was lot more 'harsh' - I tried to get a bit in the direction of the mp3 from Sampletekk - i tried to find a midi-file for that RainPiano mp4 file but couldn't find any.. too bad - otherwise it would be easier to try and get that sound....

Re: Blues_Upright.fxp

I've uploaded a brighter version, I think I'd better stop there before I clutter the file page too much lol!

Hey Hans, I just took a look at your website and I see you're a 3d illustrator, me too!
